Bamboo Arrows- do you have the same problem?

Hi , I have a bunch of boo arrows dried,tempered and straighten. Have sealed them as well.
After one week took them out to shoot, they are not as straight as before.
Need to hand straighten them a little in order to get them as straight as before.

I have seen this too.
On my home grown type I think it is because they are still drying.

Have some from China. Love the skinny shafts. But they were very straight when they arrived.
Now as I'm making them they require a little more straightening.

Are you tempering your cane shafts after straightening them? I like to start at one end heating while rotating the shaft. Then work down the shaft rotating as you go to the other end. I like to see slight color change to know it is heated enough. Be careful at the far end. It there is any moisture in the shaft it will come out as steam at the far end.
When the whole shaft is heated re-check straightness and straighten as needed then lay on a flat surface until completely cool. I like to wait a day.
I think the processed Tonkin shafts have been tempered. You can tell by their darker color, carmelization.
