I am starting off with just one model.  The Trekker is the smallest kettle they carry and I think it's just the ticket for the Trad Bowhunter.  Brew a cup of coffee, cook an egg then throw a hand full of hardwood chips in there and smoke your clothing on the way out!

Do any of you use one of these?  If yes please let me know what size you prefer and give us a little feedback on how you like it.

I've had one and it's a good piece of equipment though a little heavy by modern standards.   Aluminum version of the same might be a better option.

I have the trekker, is big but i love it, perfect for the camp and is very fast boiling water, very clever design!! I use it mainly to boíl water, for tea, coffee, rehidrate food...

Have the large in SS great for camp, perhaps the canoe, a little large to pack, the trekker would be more packable than large...

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!  That's not fair.  I've been wanting to buy one of these.  But I'm going to buy Aluminum.  Let us know when you get the aluminum model in stock.

I have been using one of these for years.  [10 I think]  Mine is the aluminum large one.  It will boil enough water for 2 to have breakfast or dinner.  My daughter boiled 2 qts. in a minute with a full load of pine needles.

I have a stainless steel medium sized Scout.  These kettles work very well.  Mine will boil quite a bit of water in just a few minutes.  No need to carry any fuel.  

The larger ones aren't really intended for backpacking because of their size, although they are light weight.  But are great for canoe camping and things like that.  The Trekker would be better for back packing, I think.

I forgot, I also have the cooking accessories, but haven't used them yet.  I am sure they will work very well, too.  A lot of heat is generated up out of the stove.

Homebru, thanks for that!  I'll have to check them out.  I'm planning on some camping/hiking/hunting trips this year.  Looks like they'd come in handy!
