Gettin a girl back after you've ignored her for quite some time is always a tough task. Been with her since 2005 and I had all but given up one her.  It's gonna be a hard hill to climb but I think she'll give me one more chance.

A little background, good friend John Scifres built this beauty for me in 2005 and it's been my favorite bow since. Up until a couple years ago it's all I've shot at 3D shoots and I've hunted with it a lot. It's consistently drawn compliments for being one of the most gorgeous self-bows if not the prettiest of all (IMHO).

Go back a few years and I let work and school get in my way and I decided to put the trad stuff on the shelf and hunt with my compound. I don't regret it AT ALL due to time restraints and some lost game that I contribute to my lack of practice due to the busy schedule. I had some great hunts and took some awesome deer.  I still enjoyed hunting with the wheels but I knew something was missing.

Recently I moved to baltimore and if you live in the area, you know we are up to our waists in snow right now.  I'm somewhat snowed in today so I decided to rig up a target and shoot in my apartment. I can get up to a 20 yard shot through a couple doors. Just putting in a few minutes with the bow and I decided that I'm gonna do all I can to hunt with it hard this upcoming season. Gonna even be able to take it to a pheasant shoot in a couple weeks!  I was pretty happy with my last group and I'm all excited for the 2014 season.

She's beautiful, John, and it looks like she just m-a-y be the forgiving sort!  If you continue to shoot her like that, the deer will be in very serious trouble, and I suspect your relationship may be restored...       :archer:

Great to see your post!
