I'm looking for info on a dry or dehydrated scent killer. Headed back to Colorado this Sept and trying to cut pack weight. Seems that someone would have come up with one that you could add water to but I can't find any info anywhere. Thanks.

"Dead down wind" has packets that you just add water.

Lightest weight would be Carbon Synergy. A small bottle and can be used dry and also added to water.

Awesome! Bob and I were talking about this yesterday. Figured there HAD to be someone out there with a product. Has anyone used these products? Any reviews?

Dead down wind is the same as you buy in liquid- just powder you mix yourself.  Great concept.

Reviews are tough on such items- "Do they really keep animals from smelling you?"  Doubt it.  But seem to help me not smell to ME.

Doubt hunting/hiking in mountains could ever be done scent free.  However- the BEST product I have ever used that does cut down my scent to ME (days of hard use and my shirts are not a locker room!) is the Scent Shield Hair and Body Deodorant LOTION.  15+ years- all seasons, all hunts, AK last year, and even non-hunting trips.  The lotion gets into your skin, moisturizes, limits any chaffing, and really does keep your clothes from stinking.  Not sure why it is not discussed more.  Been using it for 15+ yrs.  A 2-3 oz. bottle was the bomb in AK last year for underarms and crotch.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.
