Is it all the same to you?

I went out after squirrels this morning, maybe I'm just a slow learner, but it was as exciting and relaxing just being out there in the woods on a cool morning, as it would be during deer season. Is it just as nice for you to be out there any fall morning? By the way i missed three of the little tree rats, not by much but a miss is as good as a mile.

Stone Knife,,,sounds like we had the same kind of luck this morning! All misses no hits! But dang was it enjoyable, very cool breeze, leaves rattling and some falling, you can definately feel fall in the air now. And to answer your question, yes it is all the same to me when I'm in the woods. Wether it's Squirrel'n in August or Late season rabbits & deer in the snow. I feel the same closeness to nature and the creator that put it here for us to manage and enjoy.

It's all good. I'm headed out to chase the grays myself.

I still have to wait a few weeks, but went out this morning for some stumping and counted nine grays within bow range, two of which were on the ground

Here is a stalk Sky went on.

Something soul-cleansing and peaceful about this time of year in the woods. I made it out a few days ago, and plan on it again soon.

Is it all the same to me?

I guess so.  Right now I can hunt elk, deer, grouse, cotten tail, who knows what else but this is what I'm doing on a Saturday morning.

This picture says it all:

This aspen did not have the biggest horns or weigh the most but it was a trophy none the less!

Yesterday morning in the treestand was the most relaxing time I have had since I crawled down out of it last January. Nothing beats being out in nature for me!

I love chasing squirrels but wish our season for them opened earlier.Right now they are all underfoot but the season does not open untill the bucks start acting rutty so it puts a damper on my treerat hunting. :)They make use shoot deer for a month before they turn us loose on the smaller targets.  :bigsmyl:
....Quality deer management means shooting them before they get tough....
