X4 on what Green said. Two tracks are my favorite now. Really quite the bow and last extremely well.

Hopewell Tom

I do the S2 method. Really like the look and results.

The Navajo silencers, sold by Centaur Archery, seem to work the best for me.

These are good. If you put them in the way Jim shows at Centaur you will have no problems. I make sure I twist that top one in pretty good also. I've never had one move, but if you want to move it you just sort of twist it up or down the string.

I use hush puppies Place one a one third and one at one quater distances no need to tie them in the string tension keeps them put.
P.S. Sorry we missed you at the lease the last weekend.

  Most excellent video from S2
Exactly how I do it and never had one come loose. I have come to really like four small ones.

20 times around a credit card. tie off the bundle on each side with wax string. split the string with a butter knife and insert bundle. use the loose ends of the string to tie the bundle in place. cut the ends of the loop with scissors when tied in place.

we have installed thousands of these over the years for five bucks a set. we use Walmart cammo or black synthetic yarn. they last almost forever.

I prefer and used over the years heavy duty Catwhiskers. I cut them 8" long, fold them over and tie a real tight granny knot where I want them on my string.

Having the bow in a padded vice or someone holding it, pull down hard on the each side of the Whisker and cut them with scissors to the desired length. Even though the granny knot is tight, you can still move the silencer up or down.
"Neal...is this heaven?" "No Piute but we are dam close". Top of the Mtn in Medicine Bow Nat Forest.
