I was wondering if any of you have hunted out of the Rivers Edge ladderstands? The basic model without any rails.
I'm curious if the fabric type seats make any noise when shifting around?
Thanks

I have one I think is called a,pack-n-stack or something like that. It has a sling style canvas seat it's pretty quiet if,it set up right . But it still makes noise when I shift around. On a scale,of 1-10 I'd give it a 6.

I don't have any rivers edge ladder stands, but do have several of their hang ons.  I wouldn't worry about the seat, but look at the platform.  Mine have a "grill" type welded over the frame and its LOUD in any kind of weather.  I really have to watch my foot placement when trying to move in one.

The only problem I have had with seats like those is that if it happens to get wet and the temp drops and it freezes it makes some noise when you shift around.

Went to Gander Mountain last night to buy a Rivers Edge Onset, the simple one-person 14 1/2-foot model.  They're on sale for 40% off.  However, when I saw one, I decided not to buy.  The ladder rungs on that model are pop rivited on, not welded. Not for me.

Ol' Man treestands sells net seats in a couple of different widths, you may be able to replace the fabric seat with one.

Sorry for high jacking thread...
Are there any good ladder stands out there where the base/platform attaches to the tree like older style ladder stands?  Looking for nice sized platform without side rails/shooting rails.  Don't even care if it has a seat or not. Seems like this basic ladder stand is difficult or impossible to find anymore.

Thanks for any help offered!
