I have a three piece take down bow.  What is the best way to store my string so I am not losing my tune each time I take down my bow.
Thanks,
Ray
I enjoy the woods taking game is the icing on the cake.

It shouldn't untwist, but if you are concerned it might just put a twist tie through the loops and tie it off.

You will have to shoot the string back in/let it settle after it's been unstrung.

I put the bottom loop half way through the top loop, then the top loop through the bottom loop.  It also Works by reversing the ends.  My explanation leaves a lot to be desired but most new bow strings come laced that way.  A paper clip on both loops also works, I just do not normally have one with me in the field.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

The small spring type metal paper clips work well. Just clamp both ends of the string in it for storage.

Also I make sure I know what my brace height is on my bow.  Once strung I check it to make sure it is on.

Yes, its important to shoot the sring in to settle it before you hunt. Mark a few of your arrows at the correct brace height so you can check it in the field.

Just record your brace height then adjust to suit. I know some guys who crest their arrows at the proper brace so they can just look at arrow and tell if it's right. You can also use reflective tape to mark your brace and then find your arrow after the shot with your flashlight.

I use the twist tie method.
