Before I take the plunge with the Black Widow, I'd like to get a like new Bear Recurve bow in 45# Right Handed version.   Any suggestions on models and expected price ranges?  I'm looking for a nice condition one and don't want a collectors item.  Just a good shooter to practice with.  Thanks

Jeremy

You can normally pick up a used Bear in that weight for about $90-150.  I'd recommend a mid 60's to early 70's Grizzly, Kodiak or Kodiak Hunter.  All are good shooters, won't break the bank, are EASY to find and are much better made than the newer Bears, IMO.

I have to agree with Jeremy.  I've got a '64 Grizzly that I still hunt with once in a while

I like Grizzly's as well. If you have the chance, shoot the Martin X-200 as well. You may find that you may like the grip on the Martin a little better.
