Does anyone know where I can purchase the rope used for these strap/rope on tree steps

From the appearance and the way the eye is formed, I'd guess it's 1/2", 12 strand, hollow braid, (probably monofilament) polypropylene rope.

The stuff is light, strong, durable, cheap, and easy to splice.  You can form eyes by simply feeding a good length of one end through the side of the rope and down through the middle of itself.  Too cool.
