Has anyone tried one of the ozone machines on the market?  They look interesting as you can use it for clothing and bows and any type of equipment? I just wonder if they actually do work well>

Not sure if they do work as I do not have any experience with one, id say if you have the funds to buy one and want to try then by all means feel free. Otherwise, I would not spend the hundreds of dollars on one.

my brother in law got one, but it was only like 50 bucks, supposed to cover 50 cubic feet , so you could put all your gear like in a closet or such , also can be used in a vehicle,  I have seen the really expensive ones, thats why i wondered if anyone had any experience with these

That is the same way they take the smell out of homes w/smoke damage and dead animals and any other source of foul odors. Never used one but I would say that it would work.

A important question to ask is will it benefit you?
Not will it get you more critters but will it make you a better hunter.
I don't have anything against anyone who uses one and don't have any experience with them. So I'm not asking this in a bad way or by any means trying to sound negative about anyone using one.
But in my opinion I would think that it would make a hunter loose his skill in hunting the wind and the valuable lessons one can learn from blown opportunities caused by wind related mistakes. All of these lessons and mistakes make us better hunters. In my opinion a devise that makes it where you can bypass that learning curve and the experiences learned from playing cat and mouse with the wind would not be a benefit.
Again I mean nothing mean or insulting towards the devises or those whom use it.  Just wanted to give my thoughts on how it would be one more step closer to the total demise of woodsmanship skills.  I understand that everyone has their priorities and if a devise like this aids one of thier high priorities then its a great thing. But if someone feels that it would take skills away and those skills are a high priority it might not be the best thing to use in the long haul.
I know there are a lot of people out there that have been waiting along time for something like this and it will benefit them greatly and that is a good thing.  So I wanted to give my opinion on the pros and coins.

Note the devise I'm talking about is the ones you use in your tree stand or in your ground blind that completely eliminate your scent while actually on stand.

Be carefull around natural rubber. Ozone will destroy it rather quickly.

I always hunt the wind,  I have been in the woods for 40 plus years,  I dont want it to hang in a tree, just wondered if they work. I thought if they did it would be nice to be able to put my clothes and bow up with it after a days hunting and have everything de-scented for the following day.

I hunt the wind!! I shower & spray myself in Atsko products, along with gathering strong smelling foliage from my hunting area such as walnuts, acorns and beech nuts that I crush up and leaves from white oaks & beech nut trees and put in the container that I store my hunting clothes to help eliminate my scent signature in the woods. But I also don't use any perfume soaps or deodorants during the course of my hunting season.
