Relatively new to trad. Shooting a 60" 55 # @29" talltines drawing 28", where do you measure your brace height, throst of grip or back of sight window? Brace height should 7 5/8 to 8", right? Thanks.

Keb

Deepest part throat to string, I shoot a 58" my bow shoot the best 7 3/4 inch.

Yep...all bows BH are measured from the deepest part of the grip to the string. All my TT's are braced 7 3/8 to 7 3/4. And I've owned lots of them!

Did talk to Brian Wessel few weeks ago, and he said 7 1/2 to 7 7/8 with 60" recurve is the best bet to get it right.

Except Dan Quillian's canebreak and patriot recurves.  :)

How can BH which is a universal measurement be changed by a bowyer?

What's next...bowyers measuring FPS differently?

Again...if it's got a grip or handle and a string the BH is from the deepest part of the grip to the string.....on all good bows!!
