I'm new to Trad Gang. So I apologize if I'm going about this in the wrong spot or wrong way, but I've searched the web... world-wide... and can't find much about this topic.  Has anyone shot/hunted with a DAS DX5 riser with recurve limbs?  I'm left handed and a long ways from Indiana, so it's hard for me to come across bows to shoot.  Any info about these bows in general (even with longbow limbs) would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Griff

I shot a DX 5 15" Riser with the recurve limbs. I liked the slim design and grip. However I shot the 17" riser from DAS a little better. Both are nice risers. I tried a couple sets of longbow limbs on my DX5  and the limbs I tried had to be braced over 8 1/2 " to keep them from being flippy on the tips. I decided to stay with my Border Hex 6 recurve Limbs.

Take care, Randy

I have a DX5 longbow 62" @ 46# / 28".  It does take a higher brace - 8" works well with my arrows.  Lots of adjustability.... Fun to shoot!
