I am attracted to both of these bows as dedicated Whitetail hunters.

Which would you choose and why?

My draw length is a fuzz over 28" and I like to shoot between 40-45#.

Thanks for your thoughts and experiences with these two short bows.

Best regards, Skychief.

I own both. I draw a recurve about 28". My choice would be the Kodiak Magnum and let the 48" alone. Although some draw a Super Mag 48 to and past 28", I find mine stacks right at the end of my draw length. It is 60#. I really think you'll appreciate the KMag more. The Super Mag 48, for me, is much louder.

My KMag is 50# and is Grayling vintage. The Super Mag 48 is a Gainesville bow.

I have to agree with Bud. I just got the new 3 rivers mag today and like the looks of the Kodiak Magnum. I also like the new Bear Kodiak modeled after the 1959.

My son in law has a new to him late 70's model K-Mag and @ 28" she's a sweet shootin whitetail machine. Now if I could just talk him out of it!
