400 spine axis were not doing it for me. got good results but not amazing. no matter what It showed weak. Switched to 350spine black eagle deep impacts with 150gr tips and right now the bare shaft is still showing weak and hit a inch to the right of the flighted at 15 yds, will do more tuning thursday. suprised i needed to go to 350spine with this bow.   axis will go up for sale

got to shooting at 25 yrd. the black eagles are almost vap size, full length  33gr outsert 100gr tip is still showing a weak but its way way way better then the axis shafts were shooting.  the fletched black eagles are flying really nice.  going to keep experimenting with these and might order a few 300spine vaps to play with

My experience mirrors yours.  Anything above #45 takes at least a. 400 spine to get decent arrow weight.  Shooting. 340 most of the time.

from what im seeing so far I will most likly have to trim these down to get 150gr tips to work and dont think I go go short enough to get 200gr to tune right. I would like to use 200gr tips if possible so I can get broadheads with a better blade angle.  think going to 300 spine vaps or black eagles will be the ticket
