I am in the market for an ILF riser, want a bow 62" or longer, my dl is 29". I am interested in the advantages of various riser lengths . Bow will be used for hunting.
Thanks

A 17" riser and long limbs would be my choice.  In fact, it is what I shoot.  LOL

Lots of choice with 17" both metal and wood.

17 or 19 would be good.
Perhaps a 19 might be the best all around length for you as you stated you wanted a 62 inch or longer bow.
You could have a 62 and 64 inch bow with 2 sets of limbs on the 19 inch riser. You can find good deals and not be out that much cash with multiole limbs.
A little more mass eight usually with he 19 inch risers if you like that?
A 17 is nice though if you decide you want a shorter 60 inch bow with medium limbs later.
A 17" will handle a pretty long draw with some medium limbs.
My 17 with border medium limbs was very smooth and comfortable out to 30" no problem.

You can get away with mediums and a 17" riser with high end limbs only.  You will stack a bunch with the low end limbs.

But pretty much any long limb will do the trick.

I like 17" riser  tried shorts and longs and if I still had a ILF set up I would get mediums for it for a 60" bow
- Hunterbow 58"  47# @26"
-bear kodiak 60"  45# at 28"

17 inch with High End limbs to make a 58 - 60 inch bow

I draw 29" also....17" works well for me!

Mike, I've got a chance to get a good deal on a 17 inch riser.  If I'm shooting for 55lbs at 28 inches, what basic Epic longbow limbs should I get and what would total bow length be?
New to this world but shot one and got to have it!
Thanks

I have black bear riser with med. Limbs and draw over 29"
What an awsome bow. I also have a hoyt gamegetter that is as sweet as anything out there. Both are 20" riser and were modified for ilf. I have more of them I am going to do bolt down limbs. My vote is for a longer bow, persoal preference.
