arrow choice??

Hey guys im shooting a 60#@28 deathwish lngbow and my draw is 27 and im not sure what arrows i should get? But I plan to use 2 blade broadheads any advice where to start? I plan to use this set up for hunting and would also have the same setup for target

What kind of shafts are you looking at getting? Carbon, aluminum or wood?
That's the first place to start.

Depends on the point weight you want to shoot also. I'd go with some Surewood douglas tail tapered douglas fir shafts in 65/70's cut to 28" bop with 125gr points.

Out of my 60# bow I shoot carbon express heritage 250s but you mileage may vary.

I'm not to sure I'm new to traditonal shooting besides an old bear little cub bow that I shot wood out of. I've been shooting 45/60s carbon express predators and the ce cx 200s and they both seem to be stiff. With 125fp and I've. Also shot easton lite xx75 1816 aluminum that we're way too weak with 75fp. I really don't care what I shot shaft wise aslong as it has feathers and able to use zwicky or other heavier 2 blade heads

I have a 59# Deathwish and pull close to what you pull. Mine likes 65# woods but could probably go closer to 60# spine, shooting 29" cedar shafts with 125 grain points.

It will also shoot 2018's okay, but that is the only aluminum shaft I have tried, so somebody else may be able to give you a better suggestion.

Yhanks again i wanted to use wood if.possible but the shots i have been able tp gp tp havent had much info and have tried to keep me in the compound area and say speed is key and ita way better to kill deer with... :-\\ i not worreied about.killing deer i want the challange of it i wana be able to say i earned it. how it was ment to be. With a stick and twigs

After learning the hard way my advice to you, if you are new to trad, is to first drop down to a 45 lb bow. I too started with a 60 lb bow and the only good it did me was to develop some bad shooting habits that were hard to correct. A 45 lb bow is plenty for deer and will accelerate your proficiency greatly. I won't talk you out of wood arrows, but if your just starting, I'd go with carbon. They're either straight and good to go, or they're broke, no betweens. I also feel they're easier to match to a bow simply because of the screw in points allows quick changes. If your heart is set on wood, (whose isn't?), contact one of the wood shaft sponsors on here and let them help you. As far as getting around experienced trad guys, go on the wisconsin traditional archers website and look up upcoming shoots. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice i will gladly take it. does it matter if i would use a 45# recurve instead of the 60# longbow? because i have both but im unable to find a string for my damon howatt high speed because there isnt an amo writen on the bow and there isnt tomany local shops that know anything about long/recurve bows
