What criteria for YOUR arrow choice?

In regards to carbon arrows what is important?
Is it diameter, tapering, brand, weight,or what determines why you choose an arrow.

Can we determine accuracy and penetration based on those factors?

Spine, physical weight and degree of straightness.  Don't care much about diameter.  They're all skinnier than wood. I like a medium weight (for carbon) shaft that I can front load.  And I want the shafts to be straight within .003 of an inch.  Tapered or not doesn't matter to me. I shoot Easton Axis and Gold Tips because they happen to be good fits for my bows.  Most other brands would no doubt work as well.

Accuracy is determined by the shooter, not the arrow.  Any arrow well matched to the bow will be accurate, if the shooter is.

The skinnier the shaft and heavier the shaft (particularly if the weight is concentrated in the front of the shaft) the greater the penetration, all else being equal.

I'll just say this, I've been shooting the same dozen Arrow Dynamic Trad Lites since 2006. Only had one bust on me so far. They are tough, durable, fly straight and I can shoot the same arrow from a variety of bow weights.

I like skinny.
I first tried Beman MFXs 5 years ago & found the to be a LOT easier to tune than other, 5/16" carbons.
They're heavy, tough & a breeze to get shooting right.
If they ever stop producing them, I'll go to another skinny shaft before trying anything else.

Not a consensus among you but good info just the same.
I wondered if a beast like Ferguson's arrows would be better than a wt forward lighter arrow?
