Can someone point out an educational video, DVD or article that explains bow string construction?  For example: What is the reasoning behind choosing 12 stands or 16?  Why is the serving way longer than the nock placement area?

Thanks.

"Doing the Twist" by Chad Weaver(LBR) and Chad has a newer DVD but I don't remember the name.

Thanks Pat!

The latest one is "How to Build a Great Bowstring".

Strand count depends on a lot of things--mainly draw weight, type of material, and personal preferance.  My preferance is moderate--not overbuilt, not pushing my luck.

The serving is way longer because it's there to protect your string.  Not just from your arrow nock, but also from your arm guard.  Also makes it more comfortable on your fingers.
