I've been told diamond wood is heavier than action wood. How much heavier?

Not sure but Dymondwood always seems denser to me as well. Shawn

Actionwood is just wood laminates glued together, Dymondwood is impregnated with resin.

We build our bows with Actionwood. Not as heavy as Diamondwood. I think Actionwood  is a better bow wood. Just my opinion.

Actionwood is better used in the limbs than Diamondwood because it is a lighter material. I like bows that use diamondwood in the riser though because it gives the bow some decent mass weight without it being too heavy.

Dymondwoods may run from 60 -75#'s/cu ft...for comparison, reference cocobolo @ 68#'s/cu ft.

Finding specifics on actionwood has continued to elude me - Actionwood is significantly lighter and may likely fall in the 50#/cu ft category...for comparison, reference Pau Ferro @ 53#'s/cu ft.
