I have a 19" riser and shoot split finger. How much positive tiller on the top limbs should their be or none at all. I was shooting low all the time. Checked the tiller and the lower limb was plus 3/16 more than the top. I fiddled around and got about 1/8 on the top it seams to work better. What do you all have on yours?

Not to sound like an idiot, but, are you sure you dont have the limbs reversed? If that bow is tillered for split, it should be a little positve on the top limb, not the bottom limb.

How did you change the tiller ? Just curious ...

1/8" less distance on the bottom limb.  Or 1/8" more distance on the top.

This is for split finger and is the standard.  Most bows for 3 under are even tiller.

Some will tell you it does not matter, but from my experience, one out of tiller is just frustrating.

The limbs are marked top and bottom that's the first thing I checked. I adjusted by turning the string. It does matter on this.I was hitting low all the time.

Tiller is built into the limbs-- should be 1/8-3/16" difference between the limbs, as measured at the base of the riser to the string. Less on the bottom limb (negative tiller)more on the top (positive tiller). I find this difficult to measure accurately without a bow square. I doubt that shooting low is a function of tiller, more likely a function of string nock placement.

You cannot adjust tiller by twisting the string? That would change brace height, but the tiller should still be the same.

I would call Bob Lee and talk to JJ. They are very willing to answer any question you may have about their bows. I just had some limbs worked on and JJ was very helpful and always took the time to talk to me.

Called Bob Lee bow going back. They said they would make it right what ever I wanted. I'm glad they are good people to work through a problem with.

I sure don't know how one changes tiller by twisting the string as per Bisch above.

I may be fix'n to learn something and that would be great...for the umpteenth time today!

DAD some bows may have a lower impact point. Nock height adj may take care of the issue for you if not try a piece of  thin leather on the self in stead of velco
