Getting ready for Gobbler Season.........

Pennsylvania's Gobbler Season comes in the end of April. Time to get a new target setup and get practicing.

My Waldrop is set up 15 yards from the target. That is going to be my limit. Here in Pa. we have some real wacky laws on hunting from blinds so before everyone lets me know about it....I know. I will be behind something if possible so decided to get as much use out of the Christmas Tree as possible. From the Gobblers point of view.

You folks that consistently kill Gobblers with Traditional equipment,how about a little advice on where to put the broadhead on this bird for a clean,quick,kill. Thanks.

Missouri's season starts in mid-April. Won't be long.
The most exciting thing for me is I have a new hunter that wants me to take him turkey hunting.  Nothing more fun than getting someone their first bird!

Comes in 2nd weekend in April, here in KY, can't wait. Looks like a good place to hit one. Or you could go for a head shot! No just kidding! Good luck to you. God bles.

I would say three out of four of those holes are good.

Turkey vitals are in the upper 1/3 of the body.  Hit the wing butt and stay away from low and forward...nothing but air there.  I agree, 3 of the 4 look good.

Slightly quartered away in the flashy patch of brownish gold feathers...always works for me.

     

Shot three there and they all went down in sight.
Little low...ya take the legs out and they can't fly...little high and your still in the goodies      

The other two were with 2 blade heads, one in the spine and one about where the 12 ring is on a 3-D target...those went down in sight too.
