teach me on bear take down risers n limbs

i have a chance to get a bear super mag 44 compound what riser is it ?. now am i able to take the limbs off and put recurve limbs on that riser ?. if so what type or # recurve limbs would work to make a 62 in bow?. i have looked and read posts but am very confused to say the least. but thinking of buying the old compound and then looking for limbs. if it would work im confused the whole a b c riser #2 #3 ect limbs. im sure its here but im just not getting it from the bunch of posts im reading. could some one put it in terms i can understand

I am not sure if I understand what you want to do. But if you are planning on buying a Bear compound and expect to put Bear recurve takedown (latch type) limbs on it, they will not fit.

FYI- Bear takedowns have 3 size risers, A is the shortest, B is the middle length and C is the longest. The limbs are numbered #1, 2 and 3. 1 is the shortest, 2 is the middle length and 3s are the longest. Some of the risers weree made in wood and some using magnesium. The mags were made in the 70s. You can still get the wood risers.

Not sure if that riser will work but you can take some compound risers, have them modified and use ILF limbs on them.  Bear Black Bear risers, Proline and some Hoyt risers work.  Not sure about the riser you mentioned.  Do a google on warf bows and you will find more information.

44:  You're talking about WARFing a compound riser.  That is, fitting its limb pockets with ILF (International Limb Fitting) hardware.  If you do that, just about any ILF limb will work.

Bear TakeDown bows are completely different, and their limbs will not work on ILF risers.  Cherokee Scout explained what they look like.
