27%. But the main thing is, imo, is achieving good arrow flight with a bare shaft tuned to your bow. Then fletch it and tune some more. Get those arras with broadheads and fieldtips hitting where you look and flying so straight that you can hardly see em get there. Then sharpen that broadhead to an insane razor edge, aim small and that whitetail will go down real quick. Do that and that 20% is more than adequate.

Ditto.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Too little if expecting FOC to be a possible significant factor in enhancing penetration.

Too much if the additional wt. up front is compromising arrow flight.

Just right if flight is true, broadheads are sharp and arrows finds a decent mark. Then, will it be too late for the whitetail.

I use 29.5" Surewoods 75-80 and 125gr MagnusII 2 blade with my Wapiti. No idea about foc but complete pass throughs on the 2 deer I killed with it. With my other bows use AD Hammerhead Trads cut 31" with a 100gr brass insert, 75gr steel adapter, and 190gr Abowyer Javelinas. That's about 23% foc.
