Just finished up a couple, both about #45. One was a older Bear Alaskan, the other a PSE Spirit, looks a lot like a Hoyt Rambo riser. I got both of these broken compounds for less than $10 each, bought 2 pair of Samick Sage and Marint Jaguar limbs, #50 each, for $50 each set used. I did quite a bit of milling on the Bear riser, put a locator pin in it and the Martin limbs on, new bear weatherest. On the PSE, I did some slight milling, put a nylon 1/8" plate under the limb, made a D-10 string and ended up with just under 8" brace height. Both bows shoot great, quiet, and very accurate. These will be going to some newbies I have recently got hooked. Both bows ended up 64" and shoot very flat, very forgiving, and fling an arrow. They wont win any beauty awards, but the guys both have long draw lengths and will get about #50 from them, and have  a bombproof riser. I also used the old limbs, to make limb tips for  a Bear 76er that the tip came off, and another bow I cant remember the name off. Wheelie bows can be useful after all. I dont charge the guys anyting for my work, so they can get into trad, with a few arrows, glove, target points and heads, a little over $100, which most folks can afford. I have built about 20 of these last few years, for newbs and some of my 4H kids, which competed very well with them in state competions, one got 2nd place ind. recurve this year for his age group, and 1st place team, with 2 of these type bows being shot in the team. Just thought I would throw this out there, in case some of you guys get snowbound, board and feel adventerous.

When ya start your factory I have 5 old round wheel compounds laying around.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

Just added as set of 50# sage limbs to my converted darton riser. Still have a little work to do but it sure shoots good. Nice simple and cheap project to make a nice bow.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])
