I always seem to have more time in the winter to practice, I'll shoot every day if and when I can.i shoot year round no matter how cold it is.My basement isn't big enough so it's strickly outdoor shooting for me. Some days I'll shoot for 3 hours or more. keeps my muscles in shape and trained for my heaver bows.

I guess I am one of the few that work.  It's dark when I get home this time of year.  I can tell my shooting is suffering because of it.  Just takes me longer to get in the groove.  I am not near the shooter I was before the time changed.

I shoot almost every day when I'm home. Sometimes I just shoot 6 arrows and other times I might shoot a couple dozen.

I'm shooting mostly indoors at 10-13 yards these days (downstairs).  When it's nicer outside I shoot more, especially when I'm trying to extend my effective range.  I shoot almost exclusively from my deck which is about 20' high at my bow arm when deer season is about 1 month out.  This is also where I shoot during the season.

I've pretty much stopped deer hunting for the year as I've reached my "personal freezer capacity".   Squirrels deserve some attention these days.

20 to 30 arrows about 3 times a week keeps my eye on during the winter...........spring and sumer get another day or two...........
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

WOW, I can see I have to pick up the pace - I'm lucky if I shoot two dozen arrows once a week.

Thanks for the great response everyone.  I started shooting trad because I thought it was fun just shooting in my yard.  Bowhunting was an afterthought. This is my first season.  All my archery friends here are compound guys, so you all are the only ones I can ask.  I DO think they are SECRETLY impressed that I can shoot without using sights! Lol

I shoot about 30 arrows, 4-5 times a week now.  Range is between 10-15 yards, in my basement.  It's good for practice, but I do it because I enjoy it, and it's a good stress reliever.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.
