arrow tuning

Here is a picture of my question.



has you can see, my fletched arrows hit fine.  But the bare shaft hit tail end to the left almost every time.  I can see it flying tail end to the left from the bow to the target.  My fletched arrows seem to fly ok, but not perfect so my guess is that the fletched arrows are covering up a problem.  
My question is what problem.  Sure would appreciate some help.

My specs are LH 55# at 28" I draw 31.5"  the bow is a spirit longbow.  arrows are full length AD hammerhead with 200grn points.  Shoot thru paper perfect.  bare shaft and fletched arrows hit in the same spot.  I've only been shooting two months so these observations are from 20 yards.  Same results down to five yards, And I'm not good enough to shoot past 20 yards yet.

try a lighter point weight,with that long draw i doubt you can cut the shafts down.

looks pretty close to me.  you could try a lighter point, but chances are you've got a little string pluck or something going on cause the tail left.  If it were me, I'd just fletchem up and shoot.

tried the lower point weight but messed up the tuning.  I was following the bowmakers tuning guide and found best results by far with 200 wight.

are you right handed?

with your point weight 200grs... bare shaft. if your nock hits left then you need to decrease the point weight . try 175 grains. like your picture shows us.

if your nock hits right then you need to increase the point weight.. which you do not need to do.

some people like to bare shaft their arrows a little weak. then my fetching your arrows it will tighten things up. by adding the needed feather weight on the back of the arrow.

2 Months is not very long.  A bare shaft will graphically show ANY weakness in your shot execution.  Tuning is NEARLY impossible until you can tell if the arrow's reaction was you or tuning.

I'd suggest just shooting your fletched arrows for a good while (months) then when you are starting to really hit good groups, revisit the tuning.  You'll drive yourself crazy trying to fix one problem when it is really something else. The arrows you have now will group very well IF you do your part.

Judging by the fact that your bare shaft is grouped together with your fletched arrows you should be good. It appears you are slightly weak but fletching will compensate for that. Also, are your nocks too tight? I switched out the stock AD nocks for uni bushings and G nocks. My tuning instantly improved.

This is good advice. I would add fletch with the most visible color possible, and after your eye is used to seeing your fletched arrows fly, revisit it and you will find it's easy to see when you get it right.

I believe runningbird is LH here is his specs
"My specs are LH 55# at 28" I draw 31.5" so the arrow is actually showing stiff a bit. But I completely agree with advice from MOEBOW, as a new shooter too early to tell exactly.  Tuning is not bad for now, keep shooting and get your form grained in, revisit later.

I used the same arrow with the same draw length but right handed and had some fits getting them to tune. Your left handed so your showing stiff, go up in tip weight. I liked the idea of these tapered shafts but gave up on them and went with axis arrows.
