Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Doesn't matter if its bows or firearms, my wife considers it extravagant, even though she has no idea how good some of the deals are.It seems relevant now, when making a deal, to ask if the sale price includes a divorce lawyer. But just the same, I look and anguish over the ones I can't but, but then usually have to sneak into the house those I do buy. Still, I will run the gauntlet at least one more time - I sure do like the HH Redman!

my problem is I just can't pull the trigger on them anymore,, I really do apoligize to all of you who recieved my drool slobbered PM's..

I think I've owned around 200 bows since 86 most from trading and a bunch from bowyers I've had everything, I was recieving bows brandnew and putting them up for trade that night these custom bows that I waited months for where sold and  never even shot, when I was younger I actually called a guy and begged him for his bow I think it was a sovereign Ballsitik which would of been my 3rd ballistik and in return I had a sears card which was my first credit card and I offered to buy this guy anything he wanted at sears thinking he'd want power tools and he said man you have to take it easy its only a bow and prety much hung up on me.... it really is a sickness to some people.

I think it started with me where I collected bowyer brochures by mailing to these folks back since the 80's... because of no computers I just drooled over the pictures and even tripled the phone bill talking to those guys,, many who are gone now.  it was an interesting ride and I learned it doesn't matter what bow you own you will always shoot the same,,I'm glad I made it out before ending up homeless

So true--no such thing as the magic bow that will turn you into Robin Hood.  :biglaugh:

What I'm about to say is sacrilege, I'm down to one bow.  :scared:  Just sold a Golden sovereign to a guy in Kantuck. After the new year I'm gonna get a new one, if I can stay away from the classified that long.  :dunno:

It's like my morning cigarette (which I have not had a real one in about 10 years now).  Somedays even before I get in the shower, I grab my iphone, take a "seat" and start scrolling new ads.

But I just found a '99 Vette with less than 1,200 miles......Hmmm. A new T/D Hill to next to my 300 year old yew Union Jack or a '99 Vette to go next to my Harley. Decisions, decisions, decisions....
WOW Danny! How much did you have to pay for that 300 year old Union Jack??   :)

Abstention,  just don't visit the bow section and you'll all be just fine.     :biglaugh:

Well,  that is the only thing that works for this  bow junkie.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Currently own 11 bows (!!! wth is wrong with me??)-  currently trying to sell 3 of them, bout to decide to sell 1 or 2 more...then maybe I'll be down to ONLY 5 or 6...just traded 1 for another one, so now I've been introduced to the trade...it is a terrible addiction...haha...

All I can say is discovering Tradgang and the classifieds certainly hasn't helped.  And what better hobby is there than collecting and using functional art?

They're all different and special in their own little ways.  In my short time getting back into trad I've discovered and marveled at that.  There have to be some superficial parallels between this and guys who date a lot of women, haha.  But doing it with bows has got be cheaper and safer in the long run, haha

I've been clean since last June. Taking it one day at a time. Repeat after me:

I don't need another bow. I don't need another bow. I don't need another bow. I don't need another bow.

However, I did order and pay for a new Bear Kodiak and I haven't received it yet so that doesn't count.  :help:

HAHA.

I am in the same boat as everyone else in this thread. Wife looking over my shoulder and at the bank account on her iphone at the same time. The old saying money grows on trees is true to us trad archers.

My last post wasn't  true at all. I bought and received a Bear "A" Mag less than a month ago. The disease is so bad it has corrupted my memory. It's no wonder I feel dirty. :o

My problem is wanting them all. I hate to part with any of them allthough I have sold a couple in the last few months. I see so many I want  but keep telling myself stick to the right weight range.
