I need some guidance on buing a bow. I really want a great shooting bow that will be something i will use indefinetly. I am still new to archery but can shoot pretty good and just want to buy something quality. In your opinions would the two track, the thunderstick, or the whip be best. or anyone heard of spirit. they deal through rocky mountain. thank you very much

I personal would go with a Holm-Made "Osprey" longbow 62" and 44# to 53# at your draw length. I own one and only own 2 bows. It hits where you look. I have only owned one of the bows you are looking at. If you notice the Osprey never comes up on the classified? You will never have to buy another longbow. Ken Denton

I'm sure they re all good bows. Personally, i'm a very big Whip fan.

Had TS 3 amd it was nice but like the Moab better. I have shot some whips and like them okay. Shot a long walker last summer and was real surprised at the performance! Of the three i would lean towards the long walker but would need to shot a couple whips to be sure.

I don't know about the other two, I'm sure they're great. However, you just can't go wrong with a Whip. They're truly awesome bows and the Toelke guys are a real pleasure to deal with.

Call Dan Toelke and talk with him. I have been through a fw bows including Dan's recurves. Been shooting my 2 Whips exclusively for quite some time now. Dan is a full time bowyer who REALLY gets after it. His son Jared is becoming his twin in his bowyer abilities. His number is 406-253-4949 (cell)or 406--676-5150. Tell him "ol plenty coups" sent yah! don't know about the other two but I had a couple thunderstick 3's and also had the Moab and one of the 1st before he started advertiising them,, well the Moab got sold the day after I recieved it,, thunderstick 3 is the better bow but tell Jim you want the original T3 grip NOT the moab grip..

Longwalker. Check out his prices, delivery, and wood combos. His fit and finish is fantastic, and his bows shoot quiet, smooth, and with plenty of speed.

Toelke, owned a Whip .... Sold it , Still wished I hadn't ..... I own Toelke Recurves Now . I doubt you'd be sorry about any of the Bows you named, but Dan Toelke an his Bows are First Rate ...... Yes. I am a Toelkeophile  :) .   Sutty

I have not shot the others but Toelke whips are superb by any measure. Additionally, Dan typically delivers a bow from order to you in 3-4 weeks and you will never deal with better people than Dan and Jared.

Hey guys thank you very much for your input!
I was leaning toward the whip and have been talking with dan for a day or so now and he is really an amazing person. Also he usually sell his whips for 750 but is willing to help me out on a budget of 600. his bow is decked out with everything and he is willing to do it for less just to be nice and he is going to use whatever woods he has overstock on. I really wan t to go with him but also some archers have recommended going with two track. I called him today and he is a really nice person and is very helpful also. his bare bow with brown glass with no wood venners is about 49 to 500. so is the whip worth a hundred more dollars? i dont know any input?

I'm sure both are quality bows. That said I would buy another longwalker in a heartbeat and probably will within the year.
This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!
