I am looking to get a single 500 and a single 400 in the Gold Tip Velocity XT to do some trials on spine.  Do you guys know where I may be able to do this? I do not want to get a dozen of each.

I currently shoot Gold Tip Traditional 55/75 (400) but want to go to a lot more FOC and still maintain the same overall weight at 9 grains per pound.  My Bow is an ACS 50lbs at 28" and I have 29" arrows.

I have read "the Perfect Arrow" thread and will try to foot the front for durability as I do a lot of stump shooting.  I only want one set-up for all of my shooting - hunting, stump, 3D so I hope the footing will strengthen the Velocity enough.

Cheers,

They don't sell the Velocity.  I already have the Traditional with wood grain.

You're a better man than me, Gunga Dihn, if you can tell a right arrow with one shaft!

GT has been reported by several arrow makers as being one of several makers with a considerable "variance" in spine in any given dozen bought, so your results might vary heavily.

Mine did with GT 5575, 7595 and GT Entrada light weights.  I tuned each & ever shaft...some were cut 1/4, 1/8, or 1/16 different than others to get spine matched.

Good luck!

Try your local proshop, if you have one in your area.
