new bear takedowns... one more question

I have a B riser and set of #1 and #3 limbs and love it. The bow is plenty fast and shoots where I look. I have 2 Silvertips and have parked them since getting the Bear. My biggest complaint is the quiver inserts are too close together.

The 2011 TD is the black dymondwood version and 2012 is the bubinga one.  The later one has a smaller, slimmer grip than the 2011 version, but both look great and shoot just fine.  Maybe you should try and shoot both to see which grip you prefer.

It looks like Bear is getting things together and archers are liking it.

I have noticed most B risers have a grip which is more slim than the A risers.

I have the A riser and #3 limbs #48 and it is plenty fast and quiet for a recurve....Bobby

Mike Horton of the Nocking Point had one at a shoot back in Sept. I think it was an A riser with #3 limbs also. It was around 50 @ 28" I was shocked at how smooth it was. It was very quiet also.

I have both the A & B Bubinga risers with #1 limbs, both are very smooth shooting & very quiet. The grip on the B riser is slim & comfortable. The A riser however, is really fat & uncomfortable.

I have a 2011 dymondwood "A" riser and a 2012 bubinga "B" riser coupled with Rose Oak limbs. They have been my hunting bows the last two years and I love them both. The only bad thing I can say is that I wore the serial number off the "A" riser which voided the warranty. When I complained to Bear, I was told that the warranty was only good for a year anyhow.

any problem with older limb to new riser fit?

Fitting old limbs to new risers is just one of the many attributes of the Bear TD, so there should be no problems.

I have a bubinga A riser that has a slim riser and a smaller great feeling grip it is a slim as my old green stripe riser and shoots great

I owned both the Black (2011) and the Bubinga (2012). Like others have written above, the Bubinga has the more narrow grip which I liked better. Both of mine were A Risers.  I prefer the A riser with #3 limbs for a 60" bow.

I have  both A riser and  B riser with multiple limbs.  Have  limbs from the mid seventies and they fit just like the new ones.

Sometimes it takes a different string to keep the fistmele the same.  The string grooves are cut different over the years.
