Does anyone have any thoughts on which type of bow,  longbow or recurve, is quieter with three under?  Maybe theres little difference.  Any thoughts?

CedarAddict

Longbows are quieter for either split or 3 under  since the string doesn't slap back into the limbs.

I've got two MOABs and a new Thunderchild that are extremely quiet.
All my recurves are much louder even with wool on the string ends or velcro on the string grooves.
And, obviously, I shoot 3under

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Hey Ken, those are my favorites also... Thunderchilds and MOABs...

I also have a static limbed Kwyk Styk that is pretty quiet also.  Not quite as quiet as the longbows. but darn quiet for a recurve...

Oh, I shoot 3-under also...

Thanks for the replies.  Mostly wondering which design stayed the quietest.  Longbow makes sense.
