Congratulations brother, fine buck there.

What a nice buck taken with a bow that means a lot to you.  As always, whenever your threads come up the first thing I do is get my wife to show her some incredible photography.

I think you should get some kind of an award for having the coolest looking outfits.

Congratulations on an outstanding trophy!     :clapper:

You all are too kind.  Eric, you asked about the side quiver. I love that quiver, probably have about four of Art's side quivers now. The one in the photo is the "Powderhorn Wilderness Stalker" which Art and I co-designed a few years ago. It's based upon his classic stalker with a few new features that I suggested. We named it the "Powderhorn" after I field tested it for Art on a 2 week elk hunt in that Colorado wilderness area.
As far as the wool clothing, the jacket and hat are creation of Rob Tiberio's company, "Classic Sportsman Sporting Woolens", aka "Classic Bowman". I spent a week with Rob in and around New York City last June and saw first hand how high quality "American Made" clothing comes into being.  It's a daunting task, but Rob's accepted the challenge for all of the right reasons. I can't say enough about what he's producing.  Heirloom quality, highly functional jackets and hats.

Glad to hear that you and your wife enjoy the photos Bernie.  I try to capture the moments as I experience them with the hope that years later they will still convey those special days afield.

Art can add custom touches as well. He carved oak leaves, acorns, and a primitive arrow image into the quiver seen in the phot0 I posted.

We took the "special buck" friday to visit my long time taxidermist, Larry Thomas, in Baghdad Kentucky. Chose the Mckenzie semi-sneak head down form to display his unique left browe tine better, not to mention that he was getting aggressive when I released my arrow. He had a snoot full of pre-orbital gland scent I had placed over the scrape. We're adding a wall habitat to the mount (artificial driftwood, pine branch, moss, etc) to represent the woods where I hunted him. He should be back home in May!
