A few months back I was at the Knocking Point and I picked up a few strings.  Im shooting a BW and in trying to quiet it down I thought I would put a dacron on it.  Well I kind of forgot what string I have on it now and was wondering if there is a way to tell if its FF or dacron.

Thanks

The only way I know to tell is if you have any material laying around is to take a cigerette lighter and burn the ends of the material. FF will melt but Dacron will just kind of singe. As far as I know there is not really a way to tell with a string on the bow. The one thing you might could look at is how thick the string is. Most of the time fast flight strings will be much skinnier than a dacron string.

If you look closr at the strands in the string ff will be smaller and that string might also shoot alot differnt compared to dacron

If there is a strand that sticks out, you will be able to cut it with scissors if it's B-50, if it's FF it won't cut!
