I am looking into possibly buying a Kota Prairie Fire or a Holm-Made Osprey.  What do you fella's think? What are your opinions on the 2?

I have owned both - I have sold both, both shot well. In hind site I kind of miss the Kota maybe because it was all bocote and looked great in my eyes. I think I personal shot the Kota better and liked Tim's grip better. Both are nice bows, you would be happy with either one. I think Tim should have an inventory page so you could see what he has, I believe he always has bows in stock, call and ask. Chad is a Sponsor here and Tim is not. I also believe my experience is biased, my Kota was 53lbs and Osprey 49, I shoot the 50+ lb bows better than anything under 50.

Never shot a Kota, but they are nice looking bows....I have an Osprey and a Goshawk that Chad built for me....so I guess you know my opinion already....lol! I also have a Holm-Made River Runner, Chad Makes a fine bow......... All are 44-49# at my draw.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I've had a 61" and 64" Osprey.

The 61" was one of the nicest shooting hybrid bows I've ever shot. Almost as nice as Big River 21st Century style. Smooth, fast and real easy to quiet.

I have a beautiful prairie fire that Tim made for me and I love it. My dad also has one that he really likes, so thats what I think. On the other hand I know nothing about the osprey. Oh and Tim is a great guy to deal with!

Well I pulled the trigger on a new Prairie Fire.  Talked to Tim yesterday and I will have some money heading his way today.  Had to convince my wife it is my early Christmas present and she then responded with it going to be my only present!

What is your wait time, did he have some in stock?

He had one he will have finished up in the next few days.  Turns out it is the perfect weight I would have ordered at 55# and the woods are very similar to what I would have ordered, almost as if it was meant to be.  It has a coco bolo riser with an ebony flare thru it.  Bamboo cores with choclatte colored curly myrtle veneers. I will get some pics up when I get it.  I decided to go with the Kota because I have one of his Prairie Swift's now that I love, looks and shootability. Just waiting for my lunch break to get here so I can go to the post office and send him some green!

Nice, that will be a good looking bow, it will not feel like 55 they pull easy. Hate to say it but your getting me in the mood!

I have been thinking about this today....I don't mind scratching, beating, and banging my hunting gear around in the mountains, but I am gonna have a hard time carrying my Prairie Swift or Prairie Fire because I don't want to ding them up they are just to dang purty! This will be my first year using traditional gear and I am a ground hunter. Can't wait! I will be using my xbow until I get 1 deer in the freezer because my family depends on it, but after that it's traditonal archery and then on to the ole patch and roundball.  Technology advances forward and I am going in reverse lol.
