what are some things you use for practicing with broadheads? I just recently bought a 3-D deer and am definitely not going to trash it shooting my huntin arrows at it! In the past I have shot into dirt banks and that seems to work the best and does no damage other than obviously dulling the head, draw back is that i have to leave the comfort of the backyard to go practice.  guess I am spoiled that way.  'nother thing that works is to go stump shooting or roving using an old BH. others' input???  Scott

We use some of that interlocking rubber flooring used in play areas. Bolt together as many as needed. I think you can get them at walmart quite reasonable.

Hay bales work pretty good for me.

I use old 3d inserts that are shot up that are local clubs sell for about 2 to 5 dollar's each. Just stick a peice of rebar in the leg and fix it to where it will not spin. If you use it for broadheads only it Will last several years.

Second the sand pile...You can set a couple t posts about three feet in front of the sand pile, run wire across the top of the t post and bottom, then use wire ties 2 on top and bottom to hold targets and you're good to go.  Plenty of room for your arrow to pass thru.  Just tape up the broadhead holes from the backside and shoot away again and again...I make my own cardboard deer and elk chests to hang...

el cheapo wally world foam block, use it up then trash it.... hate using sand as I like to shoot each and every hunting arrow and the sand really dulls up a blade ..........

Those cheap Wal-Mart foam blocks get real cheap after bow season is over. I try to pick one up every year after season.  If you live near a marina you can probably scrounge up some used  foam flotation blocks used for floating docks.

My vote as well... plus it's free. Build yourself a nice box and you're good to go.

I use burlap bags purchased at TSC filled with Wally World plastic grocery bags and foam from an older target.
