I got this older BamaBows Hunter used awhile back. She's 50@28 and 66" long. She was a looker with the dark stained Tiger Maple, but the grain was so nice I decided to refinish her.

This first pic is how she came to me.

These are after the refinish.

I was at the range shooting her today and a Beast was terrorizing the place. I decided to put it down before someone got hurt. Made a perfect 20 yard shot right in the 'camera'. Thick skinned little monster and I only got a hole in one side, but it didn't go far.    :bigsmyl:

Great job on the refinish..!

I like the look of the Tiger Maple either way but I think I like the refinish better.

The bow did look great with both finishes and the only reason I refinished this one is that I also have a 2pc Bama in dark stained Curly Maple.

Both are really sharp looking imo...great refinish job.

Beautiful job Dan, what product did you use for the finish. Haven't been here in a while, no time. Taking my Bama to Alaska for blacktails next month. I'll let you know how that goes.

did nate make it without a leather grip orginally?

if so, that's the 1st i've seen that way.

my curly maple bama is stained like yours was, and i like it that way, but very nice work.

did you lose any draw weight in the refinish?

I used MinWax Poly.

I took the leather grip off for pics. The one in the refinished pics is the grip that came with the bow.

Don't believe I lost any draw weight, I only did the riser.
