Hey gang thought I would share with you my interesting experiences. I have a block foam target that I was practicing on and well I shoot pretty darn inconsistent. All over the place some days. Then I order myself some judos and pretty consistently get the results you see in my pics when shooting small recycling targets. You think I am just overthinking the shot when going for that "bullseye"?

Hmm sorry picture size is off. thought i had photobucket set to 640....

Don't think I would jump to the conclusion of the dreaded target panic.  My mind gets bored shooting block targets.  Nothing like a tennis ball in the woods.

"Aim small, miss small". Pick a small spot on your block target, like you are doing on your recycling targets, and watch your groups shrink.

Pictures look fine. I shoot animal targets better than I shoot dots. I love roving/stump shooting.  Looks like the same is true for you.

Sorry just seeing if the pic rezised any

tradhunterRN

ok no idea why photobucket will resize the one but not the other...uploaded them both as 640 x 480

Anyways, yeah I hear what your saying and I think shooting these smaller targets is helping me to pick those small spots. Haven't bothered seeing if I am any better on the block yet. Having too much fun crushing my recycling  :)

I hate shooting bag targets. Dots  stink.  I shoot 3D objects much better.....stumping and animals

I think that lots of times shooters get a bit stale shooting at large targets, myself included. For myself, the temptation to worry more about form is almost a precondition when shooting at my large backyard target, since most of my shots in my backyard are shots when I am working on aspects of my form, thinking about aspects of one's form detracts from aiming at a specific tiny thing more often than not. Now, if I can get a trusting buddy with a pocket full of change to toss it across that large double target it becomes a totally different deal.
