I just spent two days - once again - with Dave Stinson (HuntIt) and Mel Riley (Irish) at Comptons.
My third time staying in camp with these two misfits.
Now, this year, after only two days, I'll be shooting a long bow from now on, with (gasp!) carbon arrows, and starting every day, God forbid, Greek yogurt and Granola.
Avoid these guys at all costs.
You'll never be the same.

Hehe. I haven't met huntit yet but Mel is as good as they come so I know u had a blast!

I've been on the fence for a while, but it took those two guys to knock me off on the right side.
You are right, Mel is as good as it gets. But Dave is the other side of the same coin. Dave's been to my house now three times tryin' to drag me along to Texas.
Anyway, my first longbow will no doubt be one from Chad Holm. I was up at his place last summer and shot one of his right off the shelf. Didn't matter where I looked - that's where the arrow went.
So, my first long bow will be a Holm Made bow.
And probably the second one, too.
The ol' recurve is gonna get retired.   :(

I somehow missed you at Comptons Karl. Glad to hear you had a good time even if it did cost you money! Visited a while with your buddy Scott and bought one of his fancy arm guards. It will no doubt improve my shooting,
