I've ran across a few like that over the years, couple times Momma was off a ways stopping and snorting.  Makes for a good teaching moment if the kids are along.  Nice pic.

Great photo!
I almost stepped on a duck this evening while out packrafting...turns out she was sitting on 8 eggs.  She watched me closely while I backed out of there to find another way to the water.

welcome all!...thought you might appreciate it....we didn't touch him as we didn't want to leave any scent on em'. We were constantly looking around to ensure we didn't get "hoofed" to death by mamma!
