EW Bateman Cordovan Tip Glove input

I'm thinking about an EW Bateman Cordovan Tip Glove.  I don't have any experience with them.  Any input from anyone?  I've been shooting with a American Leathers Wet Shot for the past few years.  Switched to a cordovan tab last year but want to go back to a leather shooting glove.   So any input from Bateman glove users?

Its a great glove a little thicker than your wet shot and they are a little stiffer and take a little more time to break in. But I put on some leather conditioner on it and it helped alot made it softer, I get a cleaner release with this glove. Call bateman they are very friendly and helpful

I have one, pretty much brand new. I could not get used to it, I felt the tips were too small for my deep hook. It is a very well made glove, just not for me.

I've tried every type of glove out there. Damascus and others made like it gave me sore finger tips. Other leather tip gloves (finger stall) got loose and would fly off the fingers when the arrow was loosed.

I called Earl Bateman, Nicest man you'd ever want to talk with. Spent 40 or so minutes on the phone with him telling him about all the problems I've been having. He personally made me a glove to my specs. I had it in two days. Admittedly it was a little stiff to start with, but it has become my all time favorite glove. Full cordovan tips with snap wrist band. Great glove, smooth release and sweaty hands do not alter the release.

Hoped to see Earl last week at the Glenn Parker Memorial Shoot in Chester, TX but his wife was hospitalized at the last minute and they were not able to come. If you get one, stay with it until it gets broken in.

Thanks for the input guys.   I hope that Earl's wife is doing well.   I will call Bateman next week.

I think I may want more finger feel.   So I may go with the the unlined glove instead of the glove with the inserts.  I'll talk with Bateman and see where they will guide me.

If you get sore fingers with one of them you are doing something wrong. My 63# doesn't even begin to make a groove. One of the sharpest releases out there!!

Thanks for the picture Swampthing.  I'm guessing that is the glove with the suede liner.

Yes they are, the stalls never pop off.
Like some have said it is very stiff, but that is a good thing. Once you understand how to control the string, you just think the word release and it happens, very quickly. No sticky, hung up releases  with this one. Give it a few days at close range.

That's all I have used for the past 15 or so years. When I'm shooting 85#, I like the extra protection.

in my opinion the bateman glove cordovan w inserts is the best glove made bar none.i cut i/4 inch off the tips so your hand is deeper in the glove you can feel your anchor points and being cordovan dont stretch like cowhide.i think it could dam near last a lifetime .

Thanks for the help gentlemen.  I will be ordering a GTC1, single layer since I am shooting 48lbs right now and will probably bump that up to 50-55lbs in the near future. I like a little string feel, after break in.

Any size references for ordering purposes?  When I talked to Bateman, I talked to the Tab maker and he wasn't fully confident in the sizing of the gloves.  I have about a 9.5" - 10" hand around the circumferance, just below the knuckles.
