I've only played with 3 ILF set-ups: Sky, Trad Tech, and Morrison.

The Morrison was the quietest for me.

Is the noise something that you alone are hearing or can a bystander hear it also?

I took the cheap way out with my ILF setup using a 21" Hoyt Excel riser and TT BB medium limbs and TT long longbow limbs making a 64" and 66" bow. I'm using a FF string, wrapped in wool at the ends and a set of Cat whiskers, very very quiet setups!

Have owned a black bear warf, a morrison, a dryad, and three tt risers. Other than the dryad, which caused me to sand the limb butts to allow the limbs to fit, I can't say any of the risers contributed to noise, in any way, when properly adjusted. Noticed some difference in limbs, but nothing new. Longbow limbs are quieter than recurves, and glass limbs are quieter than carbon, imo.

Your arrows aren't slapping the riser are they?

I recently switched from Dryad Long Longbow limbs to their new Legend ACS-RC recurve limbs and I can't believe the performance difference!!  I do however notice clicking during every draw that wasn't there before.  Any ideas on what it may be and how to eliminate it?

Check and see if it is string wax making the string stick to the string grooves in the limbs.

I checked and it's not this.  I've got the yarn wraps where the string comes in contact with the limbs.  Mike (Wingnut) says it may be coming from the brass collars on the limb bolts.  Will check that as soon as I can.

Huntryk,
The click sound could be you need to raise your knock point - try 1/8" higher.

Huntryx. Sounds like your brass fitting is loose. Tighten it down with pliers or put some teflon tape under it. I got this advice from Wingnut @ dryad and it solved the problem. Hope it helps.

Thanks that sounds like it might be the problem will try it.

OK. The fitting is the receiver for the limb bolt? this is epoxied into the riser. Tape the bolt itself?

It should look like this on your limb
