Shipping over Seas

Is there anyway to safely ship over seas? Like payment,shipping?It's a take down.W

Paypal and USPS priority mail international. I have shipped a number of bows to Europe using both.

Depends on the size of the package, takedown bows will travel easier. I tried to send a longbow once to Scotland, the cost was absurd, more than the price of the bow.

I can second both comments above.

Ive bought several bows and other stuff from the US, USPS priority and paypal work best.

If i remember correctly the maximum size for a package so that it wont break the bank account is 60". Thats why i always buy 2 or 3 piece bows.

Also if you are shipping a one-piece bow over 60" you won't be able to ship USPS.They have a max length of 60" package.You will have to use a different shipper and that can get expensive.I shipped a longbow bow to France about 4 years ago and it was $122 back then with UPS.Then I shipped a T/D bow to Austria and it was $44 with USPS because it was under 60".You will have to fill out a customs form for shipping out of the country.

USPS is normaly the cheaper from USA,the shipping cost + insurance is approximatively 60$ for a 900$ bow.
Ups is good also but generaly more expensive.

Take care about customs fees and taxes. Sometimes it may be very expensive for the buyer.

I just sent a one piece Big Jim Thunderchild to FRANCE via USPS Priority. The max as stated above is 60" long. It only cost about $20 more than sending from Idaho to Georgia. It did take about 5 or 6 weeks for the new owner to actually get it, but all is good now. I believe it was about $55 to ship with $650 insurance value.

Abe from Caribow sended me a Peregrine to The Netherlands which has a AMO lenght of 62". This means that the bow is even longer when unstrung. With the box even more. I had to pay US $ 100,- for the shipment. I forgot the shipping method but I guess you can always ask Abe. He is one of the good guys.

I have sent several dvds internationally and the shipping isn't bad, $6-$7 for first class mail on the small packages. Some larger case shipments were going to run about $50 to Europe.

You can save some $$ if you can keep the box 24" or less and 4lb or less, you can ship it first class. Larger/heavier goes priority and it gets pricey quick. A 4" round tube 36" less also qualifies for 1st class.
Cost me $40+ to ship a dz arrows Down Under, priority. would have been about 1/2 first class.
