A buddy of mine handed me a bag of brodheads I have never seen before there is  a patent # on them but nothing more. The blades are removable and steal while the body looks to be aluminum. Any chance someone here knows what they are?

I agree. I haven't seen these old broadheads in 40 years.

I saw these on arrows, I believe they (the arrows) were called "Truflight" back in the 1970's.  I hate to report this but I saw them come apart on just targets.

Well that is a bummer... I was going to make up some new wood arrows this weekend for turkey season. I just may have to stick with my old Bear broadheads.

I would still make some wood arrows. They would look awesome on some cedar shafts.

Tim, they do not work as bear bleeders, but I sent you a PM

Very common in the collector world.. (i.e. not very valuable).. Interesting is they made them in several different configurations including  Shakespeare put the blades directly onto an aluminum shaft with no ferrule (The shaft was the ferrule)
