Hello,

Working on a 1916 shaft and I'm wondering about where to find, or what diameter size, of 100 grain brass inserts.  I tried doing a search but my search-foo is weak.  If I could get some help I would really appreciate it!  Thanks in advance.

They don't make one.You can however,modify one for a 2016 to fit.

Screw a field point into the insert and chuck the field point into a drill or drill press.

Use a mill file to turn down the body of the insert. It is a good idea to start by blacking the insert with a Sharpie before filing,so you can see where you are taking off metal.

It helps to have a short cut off piece from one of your shafts,to stop occasionally and check for fit.You only have to reduce the insert by .0078,all the way around,to get it done.

It will probably take you a minute or two per insert and you could expect to lose bout 5 grs of weight.

Take a shaft to your local gun shop and find some bullets that fit inside the shaft. A box of bullets will cost $15-25/ 100.
Find a caliber that fits, get the correct weight and epoxy or hot melt them with the aluminum arrows, behind the insert. Way more economical than the brass inserts.

I don't think there is a brass insert made for a 1916. The only brass inserts I am aware of that are made for alluminum shafts are sold by 3Rivers for the Gamegetter shafts.
