I shoot around 53-55lbs best, but If were starting out in Trad again w/ what I know now, I would get a 45-50 lb bow; the longer ( 62-66") the better. I used 80lb compounds & started w/ a 55lbs Bear Mag 52" & I have a 29 +" draw.....not the best way to start.
