I was golfing with my father-in-law at a private golf club in orange county (fancy$$$$). I kept picturing a big bull on every green and would try to figure out how I would stalk it using the natural relief of the course. As well as judging the distance on every tree and pin through the course...and figuring out if I would take the shot.
I wonder if they would frown upon me taking my bow next time and stump shooting instead of playing golf?
Show me your ways, LORD,teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me,for you are God my Savior,and my hope is in you all day long.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Killdeer

My favorite driving game is "Name That Roadkill".

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

You might ask her if she would prefer that you chase women instead of concentrating on bowhunting.  Nah, maybe you don't want to mention it after all... Just let you friends continue to think you are a "little off".

I went with my wife and family to the antique mall couple weeks ago. There was a big pile of stuff underneath one of the stairwells. I took one look and saw an old red wing in the pile. Had to point it out to my wife cause she didn't see it and she just shook her head. For sure a sickness but I'd rather be sick and happy rather than well and bored.
