I just bought a Turkey Creek longbow that is 62" and is 34# @ 28". How would I determine the brace height?

Rock 'N Bow

I'm not sure of the method of measuring the brace height of that particular bow but the general rule of thumb is to measure from the string to the throat of the grip.
Todd Henck Longbow 68" 58#@28"
Dave Johnson Longbow 66" 60#@27"
Northern Mist Ramer 64" 50#@27"
Northern Mist Classic 68" 52#@28"
Shrew Hill #1 "Alpha" 67" 48#@28"

Thanks,  I know how to measure but don't know the correct distance.

Start at 7".  Shoot the bow and listen to see if it is loud.  If it is, increase the BH by twisting the string a couple of twists to shorten the string.  Keep increasing the BH a couple of twists at a time until you reach the point where the bow is the quietest and go past it just a bit.  Then go back to the BH where your bow is the quietest and that should be the BH you should use.  When I don't know what the recommended BH is for a bow, as recommended by the bowyer, that is the procedure I use to establish the BH I'll use for a given bow.

Thanks Wildman,  I will give that a try...
