Hoyt Huntmasters have beautiful wood in their Risers. But the metal clips holding the limbs distracted the looks for me. As for performers....I was always asked what kind of bow that was at 3D shoots, as it shot real hard. The recurve is a 50# that I still have and will always keep. The Longbow twin is in Alaska now. I shot the recurve the other day so I thought I would share these pics. The metal clips were taken off, compass added in the Riser, Pine Cone added in grip, 3/4 skins added to limbs, and Antler Burls to finish it off for a very fine Custom Bow. Enjoy!

I had a Huntmaster years ago.  They did have nice wood in the risers.  Sold mine to help finance a custom bow.  Love what you did to dress yours up.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

Thanks. I use it as my warm up bow before shooting the heavier stuff.

Wish I had that kind of wood under the surface of my Huntmaster. How'd you rework the riser and limbs to make it possible to take out the pockets?

Nice work. About what year did these bows hit the market?

LoneWolf73

Bows hit the market around 80's. A Korean import. Only rework on riser was taking clips off filling holes and drilling pin holes for takedown alignment pins. Sand to the desired finish.
