I received my refinished riser and new set of limbs for my Tall Tines from Brian last Friday.  Below are some pics of the bow:

The limbs are new 62", 49#@28" limbs with Bocote veneers and antler tips that Brian built for me.  He refinished the riser and I also had him checker the grip for me.  He made some changes to the riser, including increasing the crowning of the shelf.  Brians new finish really made the grain pop out on the Brazilian Rosewood in the riser and the wedges for the limbs.

I shot the bow a good bit Friday and it is very quick, shoots where I'm looking, is very quiet and has no shock at all.  I love it!

The antler limb bolts were built by Frank and Shell and as ever, they did a great job.

Looks great Bill. I have one that the finish was less than desirable on. Was going to send it back to be refinished with the new finish but decided to try some Minwax Paste wax on it ( figured I didn't have anything to loose)the wax made it look like a different bow great finish and really made the grain stand out. Probably not a good as having it refinished but it looks great now.

Brian is one heck of a craftsman, that is why I choose him to build my next longbow.

The riser is the last one Brian built by hand.  The piece of Brazilian Rosewood that went into the riser came from a piece of wood that he also used to build a riser for a new bow for Barry Wensel.  It is a beauty and I love the longer limbs and the Bocote Veneers!  :)

The more I shoot this bow, the more I realize it is not only a very well built bow with great attention to detail, but it is also a fantastic shooting bow in all ways I expect in a great bow.  Brian is a fantastic bowyer and a tremendous credit to the profession, IMHO!
